She "wastes" a whole wave of close combat just for a plot device (like we usually do in tutorials). It's just way easier than the previous two. Also, it's not like her fight is ridiculously easy. I still think it would be more interesting if she had been somewhere else, just as I said about the Hand. She's a person who's not badass and is not qualified to do her job, but is so convinced that it's her mission, that she does it anyway, and fails! Fails completelly! It's actually very interesting. I recognize too, she's not a bad character. So they would be like: That was IT? No, there must be more to it. I think maybe they kind of wanted the player to distrust that it was really the end. I don't know, I still think she didn't HAVE to be the the last one. On her last wave, my boyfriend was actually feeling bad about fighting her, since she didn't fight back, just begged for you not to do that, because she was apparently exhausted. I think, and my friends agree with me, that she's a kind of plot device used to show how cold and cruel The Stranger CAN be. I'm not saying that this is absurd or that it shouldn't be like that, I just would have preferred if it had been different. But, I recognize this has it's purpose and I can't list as a PROBLEM the fact that there's a weak girl in the game. But again, that is not a problem, it's just my personal disappointment. I, as someone who had been so excited about the illusion that the last guardian would be an empowered strong girl, felt so disappointed that I just can't like her. She litterally does nothing but BEGGING for you to stop. It's all her shooting stations, she, herself, does very little. C'mon, she doesn't even do anything, almost. But no, let's put a woman as the final boss! (Feminist in me: YES! Girl Power!). I know we have very strong girls in this game, and I don't mind having a weak silly girl on it too. She's the weak, dumb, silly and naive girl. What I don't like about all this is actually a VERY PERSONAL reason. She is not arrogant, she's just purely naive. Living in her world of fantasy where she is an important hero with a noble mission of protecting her people. The Voice even warns you about how much of a silly dreamer she is. The good thing? This time, it WAS meant to be like that. The first reason is the same kind of disappointment that I had with The Hand: She is supposed to be the LAST jailer! The final one! The ultimate guardian! But she's a big naive loser. I have friends who LOVE her, I have friends who don't care at all about her. All of them were drawn first on paper, then scanned and finished on Paint Tool SAI using my mouse and my Wacom drawing tablet, and Paint Brush for the fonts. In the end, each of them will have links for all the other ones. I'll be editing every description everyday too, so that each of them has the links to all the others so far. Each picture has a chibi version of the character, their name and one sentence said by them on the game (or about them, in case the character doesn't speak). I'll be posting one image every day for the next 12 days on my gallery folder "Furi".
